The 3rd University
The 3rd University is the training arm of The 3rd. Each month we host webinars led by industry experts that cover various topics. We also host member-led webinars, which allow members to share their expertise (members and nonmembers may attend, but only members can deliver content). This platform is perfect for a seasoned trainer looking for more experience and exposure.
PCV - Pacific Community Ventures - Professional Consulting
Members have access to professional consulting and mentoring - sponsored by Wells Fargo Bank. Based on your needs, you will be partnered with a professional consultant to assist in various disciplines. The possibilities are endless!
Networking Neighborhood
Once you become a member, you are automatically granted access to the Networking Neighborhood. This is our member portal, where we post announcements and share resources and other relevant information from our community and business partners. Members can also post notifications, which are immediately shared networkwide.

Coffee and Convo. This networking event (members only) lets you connect with others in the community and learn what's new. Guest speakers bring a wealth of information and resources to help your business grow.
Quarterly
Past events have included happy hour at BusBoys and Poets, a mini yoga and mindfulness session at Pearl spa, as well hosted events at member businesses.
3rd Sponsored events
The 3rd also hosts annual events, allowing additional networking and community engagement. These include Cocktails and Comedy, WOCAX (Women of Color Art Expo), and Juneteenth, and Brunch at The 3rd.
Vending & Showcase Opportunities
If you're a product-based business, you'll have multiple opportunities to showcase your wares: Busboys and Poets quarterly shelving, vending for WOCAX, Juneteenth, Cocktails and Comedy, the summer lakefront concert series, Small Business Saturday, Columbia Lakefest and our annual Holiday Bazaar! Community organizations regularly look to 3rd members for additional vending and product showcase opportunities. In December, 3rd member products were featured in 700 gift boxes given to Howard County Community Hospital staff. Members participated in the Holiday Marketplace in the Merriweather District and Lit at the Lights at Merriweather Post Pavilion. During Black History month, 3rd member products were featured in the Howard County Community Hospital gift shop.
